Before you can start selling digital products online using Rocketr, you’ll need to create a listing for each of them. To get started, you’ll first need to set up your payment methods. After you’ve done that, or if you’ve already set them up, use the menu to navigate to Products > Add A Product.

Selling digital products online made easy

Now that you’re on the right page, you’re only a few clicks away from selling your first product. First thing’s first: add an image. This isn’t necessary but images help make sales and therefore is highly recommended. This will also be the image associated with Facebook and Twitter shares of your product page. Next, enter a strong, descriptive title and a solid, persuasive body for your product page.

After you’ve written your product page’s content, you need to enter the settings for your product. Start by choosing your product type.

Sell files online

 

Using the File product type, you can upload and sell many different types of files. These different types include images, ebooks, executable programs, scripts, and just about anything, really. We do currently require that files are less than 20MB in size.

File products have several options you can customize:

• Limit Sales: use this option to define a set “stock” amount to disable sales after the stock is depleted. Set to -1 for unlimited.
• Limit Downloads to Purchaser’s IP: this option will check the buyer’s IP and compare it to the downloader’s IP. If they don’t match, the download will be blocked.
• Watermark PDF with Purchaser’s IP and Email: select this when uploading a PDF to add the buyer’s IP and email address to each page of the PDF. This is a Voyager feature.
• IPN URL: add a URL here to have our server contact your URL with transaction details whenever your product is purchased. For additional information regarding our IPN, view our IPN documentation or contact us.
• Show seller on product page and product on seller page: Deselect this to hide your product from being listed on your seller page.

 

Sell codes and serial numbers

Using the Codes/Serials product type, you can upload and sell codes and serials. These can be product keys, game codes, or anything else that’s text. You can separate codes with whatever delimiter you’d like, just make sure to enter the proper delimiter in the field labeled “Codes are separated by”. Use “\n” if each code is on a different line.

Codes/Serials products have a few customizable options:

• Allow multiple codes to be purchased at once: This allows the customer to select a quantity when purchasing your code(s).

Selling services through Rocketr

And finally, the last product type: the service. Not everyone has a product to sell. In fact, many people run services instead, and those people still need to get paid for their work.

Services have a few customizable options:

• Allow multiple codes to be purchased at once: This allows the customer to select a quantity when purchasing your code(s).

Custom delivery email

Now that you’ve set up the file and file settings, you should customize your delivery email. Since the buyer will see this to receive their product, they’re more likely to read it. You should capitalize on that and convince them to be a return customer. Once you’ve done that, all you need to do is set your price and select the payment methods you want to accept, then click “Add Product”.
